They must also ensure that the project meets the requirements of the business. Project managers exist in all industries and every type of organization. They may be contractors, managers, employees, or independent consultants.
Project management, therefore, is the application of techniques, tools, skills, and knowledge to make sure all project requirements are met. Until the middle of the last century, project management was an informal activity.
